Overview
The OEM-IMU-HG4930 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) from NovAtel is a high performing Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS). The unit is small, robust and economical, and uses low power. This allows it to deliver tactical grade performance and makes it ideal for commercial or military guidance applications and unmanned vehicles. The IMU is manufactured from commercial components, which simplifies the export process.
NovAtel’s Synchronous Position, Attitude and Navigation (SPAN) technology can be integrated with this IMU, thereby providing accurate 3D attitude, velocity and position data in a small package.
SPAN technology combines two different but complementary technologies: Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning. The highly accurate GNSS positioning and the stable Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) gyro and accelerometer measurements combine to provide an exceptional, stable 3D navigation solution that is continuously available, even at times when satellite signals are not available.

Warranty
NovAtel products come with a one-year warranty. The warranty, provided by NovAtel, covers any product which does not materially conform to NovAtel’s specifications or that is significantly defective in materials or workmanship, for a period of 12 months from the date of shipment. Accessories come with a similar 90-day warranty. NovAtel’s Extended Warranty Program provides the option to increase the duration of the warranty by an additional 12 or 24 months.
