Description

Overview

The Vega 28 GNSS compass board from Hemisphere GNSSS uses dual antenna ports to create a number of added capabilities, including precise timing, low-power consumption, RTK-enabled heave, onboard Atlas L-band, RTK positioning and fast, high-accuracy heading over short baselines.

Positioning, with the Vega 28, is field upgradeable and scalable with all Hemisphere software and service options. The same centimeter-level accuracy can be utilized in either single frequency mode, or with multi-constellation, multi-frequency GNSS signals. High-accuracy L-band positioning from meter to sub-decimeter levels are available via Atlas GNSS correction services.

The industry standard form factor can be leveraged for easy upgradeability from other manufacturers’ modules.
The board uses Hemisphere’s next-generation digital and RF (radio frequency) ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) platforms.

Hemisphere’s new digital ASIC (Lyra II) and wideband RF ASIC (Aquila) designs optimize performance and provide the ability to track and process over 700 channels from all GNSS constellations and signals.

The powerful technology platform also includes Hemisphere’s new Cygnus interference mitigation technology with built-in digital filtering capabilities and spectrum analysis. The new Cygnus technology provides enhanced anti-jamming, interference detection, and mitigation.

The Vega 28 GNSS Compass Board offers access to 1,100 channels including access to Hemisphere’s Atlas GNSS global corrections network. The Vega 28 is a 41 mm x 71 mm positioning and heading module which represents the smallest GNSS OEM heading module Hemisphere has ever offered to the geospatial market.
