Overview
The Apogee-E: Versatile Inertial Navigation System from SBG Systems is a MEMS-based, ITAR free technology that can connect to any survey grade GPS/GNSS receiver for navigation and aiding equipment such as odometer or DVL.
When connected to a survey grade GPS/GNSS receiver, the Apogee-E provides highly accurate navigation data. The system fuses GNSS information with inertial data to provide the very best performance and features a distinctive GNSS error model which takes into account all receiver specific behaviors.
Apogee-E delivers a real-time heave calculation, which is accurate within five centimetres. For added ease of use, there is no need for the user to input the wave frequency, as the system will automatically detect and correct it as required.
Apogee-E is also outfitted with a delayed heave feature, which does not require any additional software. This feature allows for a more precise heave calculation, accurate within two centimetres, and displayed instantaneously.
