Overview
The 42GOXX16A4-XT-1-2-Cert from NovAtel (formerly the ANT-42GNSSA-TW) is an active L1/L2/L5 GNSS antenna able to receive GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, IRNSS and L-Band signals. This antenna is aircraft certified for navigation.
The NovAtel 42GOXX16A4-XT-1-2-Cert antenna operates in L1/L2/L5 GNSS triple-frequency mode. It supports GPS, GLONASS and Galileo signals as well as L-Band tracking. It can be used for GPS only and triple-constellation applications, they benefit from excellent flexibility and reduced equipment costs.
Such triple-frequency systems have the following two major advantages: They reduce ionospheric errors which occur in all GPS observations and they minimize RTK ambiguity rapidly.
Although the unit was designed and certified for aircraft navigation, its lightweight and compact attributes make it suitable for use in any mobile applications.
Because it meets the European Unions directive for Restriction of Hazardous Substances, system integrators are ensured that the 42GOXX16A4-XT-1-2-Cert is can be implemented in future systems for a long time to come.
