Overview
Juniper Systems’ Archer 2 Rugged Handheld can be used to collect GIS data, research migration routes and map forest fires. GPS technology performs well where there generally are obstructions to signals.
The rugged unit is water- and dustproof. It is equipped with a built-in barcode imager and decoder. The IllumiView technology cuts down glaring sunlight. The capacitive touchscreen and numeric keypad allow data input at high speeds. An Overtime Technology battery ensures extra-long service.
The Archer 2 is well suited for a wide range of applications, including natural resources, industrial, geomatics, GIS mapping, asset management, public works, agriculture and military. Company claims: “It is the most advanced rugged handheld available. Therefore, it can go wherever your job takes you.”
